What Is Attack In Compression?

When you add compression to a track in your mix, your compression plugin will give you control over a bunch of different parameters. Those include the threshold, ratio, attack, release, knee, and gain. Controlling these parameters allows you to tailor the compression to each signal so that you get the results you want from your compressor.
