Mastering
Pro mastering to ensure your songs are polished, optimized, and ready for release
You’ve written, recorded, and mixed your songs. Now it’s time for the finishing touch: professional mastering.
Whilst I genuinely believe that any musician can learn to master their own music, there are also some clear benefits to having your songs mastered by a professional mastering engineer.
Professional mastering provides:
- Fresh Perspective: Ensure your mix is presented in the best way possible.
- Quality control: Catch and address things that may have been overlooked during recording and mixing.
- Experience: Draw on years of music production experience to bring out the very best from your tracks.
- Confidence: Know your music is fully optimized and release ready.
My mastering service provides all the benefits of working with an experience mastering engineer, so you can be confident your music is 100% release ready.
Who is professional mastering for?
My mastering service is here to help:
- Home studio musicians and producers who want the confidence of knowing their music has been professionally mastered
- Hobbyists who want to ensure their music sounds the best it can
- Independent artists who want to ensure their music is completely release ready
- Music makers working in genres like rock, indie, folk, acoustic, singer-songwriter, country, etc.
Mastering to suit every project:
Because no two songs are the same, I offer two different kinds of mastering, so we can achieve the best results from every project.
Stereo Mastering:
You provide your stereo mix and I apply processes like EQ, compression and limiting to your stereo track. Perfect when you’re confident in every element of your mix, and you’re looking for balance, consistency, and optimization across the whole release.
Stem Mastering:
You provide stems for each group of instruments in each song (e.g. drums, guitars, vocals, etc). I then apply adjustments like EQ, compression, etc, to individual stems. This option gives more control over what can be achieved from the mastering process.
