Today, I want to share a simple but powerful way to speed up your workflow in Luna — using session templates.
If you often find yourself setting up the same tracks, buses, and plugins for every new project, Luna templates can save you hours.
Here’s how to make the most of them:
1. Build once, reuse forever
Set up your usual tracks — drums, guitars, vocals, buses, etc — and dial in starting points for your go-to plugins. Save it as a “Template” (File > Save as Template).
2. Make different templates for different tasks
You might want one for song writing sessions, one for full-band recordings, and one for mixing. Having templates on hand for different tasks helps you get into the creative headspace faster and spend less energy on setup.
If you want to learn more about creating and using templates in Luna, I’ve got a YouTube video all about it. Watch it here.
Why not set up a simple template today so that on your next session, all your starting points are ready to go?
If you try it, I’d love to hear what kind of template you create.
